Stella Smith Woody Keifer

It can be hard to find old photographs, especially of someone smiling! Seen here as Stella Woody (widow) with two young children.  Her first husband, William, was a railroad employee who was hit by a train. She later remarried Francis Marion Keifer.  Stella passed in 1957 and was buried at Mt Vernon Cemetery in Elizabeth Twp., PA.

James & William

Armstrong

James and his 13 year old son, William, died tragically in a tornado in Peters Township, PA. The article on the left reads "The house in which James Armstrong resided was blown down upon the family and killed Mr. Armstrong and his son, a lad, of what age we have not heard and wounded every other member of the family, one or two of them dangerously." James and William are buried in Mingo Cemetery in Finleyville, PA.
